Distinguished Hospitals Award for Clinical Excellence

EPMG is pleased to announce that five of our sites received the Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence from Healthgrades for 2013.  The EPMG sites include:

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, Wyandotte, Michigan
Lakeland Hospital Saint Joseph (including Lakeland Medical Center Niles), Saint Joseph and Niles, Michigan
Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Saint Mary Mercy Hospital, Livonia, Michigan
Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, Ohio

Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence are hospitals rated in the top 5% in the nation with the lowest risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates across 27 common conditions and procedures. Patients have a lower chance of dying at Healthgrades Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence compared to all other hospitals.
What differentiates these hospitals from the rest is while many hospitals have specific areas of expertise and high-quality outcomes for some conditions and procedures, these hospitals exhibit comprehensive and consistent quality across a range of conditions and procedures.
