Saint Joseph Mercy Saline is an outpatient facility with an award winning 24-hour emergency department. As a Saint Joseph Mercy Health System affiliate, clinicians have access to a computerized order entry system, a key component that improves patient care and drastically reduces medication errors. The facility also houses a 23-hour short stay unit, outpatient surgeries, laboratory services, radiology services, physical therapy; and features a Community Health Pavilion.

The emergency department has an annual patient volume of 17,000 and sees approximately two patients per hour. The ED at Saint Joseph Mercy Saline rates above the 95th percentile in patient satisfaction related to courtesy, friendliness, promptness, dignity, and respect. The ED has 25 hours of physician coverage daily, with seven- and ten-hour shifts. There is an additional four hours of nurse practitioner or physician assistant coverage on peak days. Clinicians utilize the EMR FirstNet®.
