St. Joseph Mercy Brighton, a member of five-hospital Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, has been serving the Livingston County community since 1986. A facility opened in 2001 and was designed to promote health and healing, this outpatient health center houses primary care and specialty physicians, comprehensive diagnostic and testing services, 24 hour emergency services, outpatient surgery and cancer care.

The emergency department has a patient volume of 22,000 annually. The facility is affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, and is part of the larger hospital system based in Ann Arbor. The ED is open 24 hours per day including holidays. The facility has 39 hours of provider coverage daily with a combination of board certified emergency medicine physicians and physician assistants. Clinicians utilize the EMR FirstNet®.

Brighton, Michigan offers some of the greatest attractions in all of Michigan and is only 20 minutes from Lansing and Ann Arbor. The Brighton School District has the reputation for being one of the best school districts in the state; the United States Department of Education has named four of the district schools National Exemplary Schools. Brighton is also home to Mount Brighton, a man-made ski hill, which is one of the busiest ski resorts in Michigan. July through September brings evening concerts to the Mill Pond Gazebo, and in the summer months, community members and visitors look forward to the Farmer’s Market and the Great American Folk Art Festival on Main Street.
