West Suburban Medical Center is 234-bed hospital that has served the community and Chicago region for over 100 years. As a leading academic medical center, state of the art technologies is available to doctors and staff that have allowed them become more innovative with its approach to patient care. West Suburban Medical Center is nationally recognized for its Da Vinci Teaching program and considered an epicenter for advanced robotic training programs. The hospital was also the first in the Chicagoland Region to have a dedicated Senior ER for care and comfort to the older generation.

The emergency department sees approximately 50,000 visits per year. The facility offers excellent ancillary services and a strong medical support staff. In 2009, the emergency department moved to a newly built state-of-the-art department with 25 private examining rooms. A new Elder Care ED has been established at West Suburban—a first in the Chicago area. This program will provide special needs for these patients. Additionally, a minor care/fast track area is open 9 hours a day. Final year emergency medicine residents from Cook County rotate through the department, as well as, internal medicine and family medicine residents from West Suburban Medical Center’s postgraduate programs. Clinicians utilize the EMR McKesson™.
