Henry Ford Health Center—Brownstown was the recipient of the coveted Press Ganey “Summit” award year over year since 2009 and also earned the Press Ganey’s Beacon of Excellence Award for patient satisfaction in Ambulatory Surgery, Outpatient Services and Emergency Services. This award is given to the top 5 percent of health care facilities nationally. The facility offers a comprehensive emergency department and walk-in convenience for all physician-ordered lab tests. Additionally, they offer a medical imaging department capable of handling CT scans, mammography, x-rays, ultrasounds, and bone density tests; a Sleep Studies Center; and physicians specializing in internal medicine, pediatrics, and OBGYN.

This facility is a free standing emergency department and is a partner with the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital emergency department. Henry Ford Brownstown offers 20 beds and currently sees 30,000 patients annually. All admissions and critical patients are transferred to facilities within the Henry Ford system. This facility also serves as medical control for the local fire department. The ED has 24 hours of physician coverage daily, with physicians working 8-hour shifts. There is an additional 16 hours of nurse practitioner or physician assistant coverage daily. Clinicians utilize the EMR ibex®
